"Terry and Gracie": Gracie is registered as an emotional support dog, so she can accompany Terry on the bus, to a class she’s taking at USF, and even to the symphony. "It's Never Too Late To Fall In Love (Again)": Relationships between senior dogs and people are mutually beneficial. The American Heart Association links pet ownership with a reduced risk of heart disease and greater longevity. Dog owners are also less likely to suffer from depression. As Judy points out, adopting a senior dog can be an especially good choice in later life, as older dogs tend to be calmer and more cooperative.

"Ed and Felicity": Ed calls Felicity “the missing link.” Her warm spirit fills his days and makes him laugh. When it’s time for bed, Felicity makes sure Ed knows it. She beats him into the bedroom every night for their special routine. Once they"re both tucked in, Felicity rolls over onto her back. Then Ed strokes her belly while she falls into a happy sleep.
